Note to self

The thought of love at first sight is improbable. People always seem to reject the idea of two pair of eyes interlocking and altering an entire existence.

And yet, the contradiction lies in the verbal phrasing of the concept. Falling in love. Falling is always instant. One moment the solid ground is beneath your feet and the next your feet are touching air, your body is flying, falling, landing. Completely uncalculated and unplanned, you never realize that you’re falling until your body slams against the pavement, causing bruises to form.

It only takes a second, and suddenly the world has turned, your position has shifted and your entire perspective has been altered.

To love is to fall. And to fall in love is the work of an instant.
